My excuse I use is that I am afraid of the repercussions should it become widely known by some who I attend church with and my extended family. Granted they are very much on the prudish side and I have family members who would more than likely see it as their duty to cause me as much pain as possible due to my sinful or heretical viewsbehaviors.
